SOON and Grafton, Grafton and SOON... like peas in a peapod or a horse and a buggy, you won't find one without the other... or will you?

Many of us have been wondering what is up with Grafton these days. Have any OKers had the opportunity to visit with Grafton recently? Is he still orienteering? He has posted to the OK Forum, but was that a sign of things to come or just an anomaly? If there are any OKers who've had the fortune of meeting with Grafton recently (or even Grafton himself), it sure would been neat to hear more about it!

Mary and I met Grafton and his three teenage step-daughters for dinner on Friday night. Grafton is doing well and looking fit (compared to when I saw him at the North Texas A-meet last November). We extended an invitation to visit the Homeland for the Kansas Champs. He did not commit (maybe he is holding out for appearance money?).

Grafton is also a grandfather now. He was planning to spend the weekend visiting the grandchild (boy or girl? I'm not sure) in Columbia, MO on the weekend.

I don't really remember Grafton being like a big tub of goo at the Texas A-meet. (OK that's just what I read into it.)

I was in Columbia for over two hours on 4th of July weekend and did not see Grafton. Could this be proof that not only is he fat, he is also a liar?
