what a girl wants-- feedback

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Squishy : One Thread

With the holiday weekend coming up, we need to make sure we don't lose the audience. If you liked it, would you tell your friends?

So...

Did you see the show? Feel free to comment, criticize or just bathe me in love and praise. what worked? what didn't? was any of it confusing or weird? did i talk too quickly?

Just take this rag and this stick and bathe your damn self in the saliva of adoration that is pooling up all over Austin. Because it fucking rocked.

My throat hurts.

pamie, i know this will come as no surprise to you, but your show totally fuckin' ROCKED. even though it took me awhile to get "into" the first show (afterall, the main reason i went alone was that hubby was sending the dog to the rescue), i really got into your show. it was explosive and so much fun. much more than i expected.

plus, yer super cute and nice.

ps- i didn't get killed by a man jumping out of the foilage near 7th and lavaca. thankfully. :)

Due to an unfortunate parking crisis, my perpetually late boyfriend and the fact that I'm in FL all next weekend, I missed the show.

Entirely.

I told everyone about it and hyped you up to know end and I didn't even get to see the damn thing.

This sucks for me.

It sounds like it rocked Pamie - and it looks like I'll have to wait until you're on Comedy Central Presents... to actually see it.

But all the same - Hurrah! Hurrah! (yeahcheersthanksalot)

Like I said in my entry I knew you were going to be great so I took 5 of my friends with me....we all loved it. You were phenominal! This weekend at the Velveeta Room? I'll have to go...and I'll introduce myself this time!

My favorite part? "A man doesn't know the difference between a woman, a hand with vaseline, or a rubber doll." Worded much better of course but you catch my drift!!

You were great! You can't leave Austin!!!

Hey, I went to the show with Nicole this past Friday night. I loved it! You were hilarious! Keep up the good work!!!

BTW: Will you post more info about your show this weekend. I went to the Monks' website but no info...let me know, eh?

I was in Houston late last week and most of the weekend, so I missed it, but I'm planning on going Friday night and bringing as many people as can go. Can't wait!

I would like to take this time to complain about the fact that Victoria, B.C. and Austin aren't anywhere near each other.

Perhaps if I look at it in galactic scale, we're close. Poo! How am I supposed to satisfy my basking-in-Pamie-glow urges when you're a million billion miles away?

Get them to turn up the mic, willya?

I'm on the selection committee for the Avant-Garde-Arama at Performance Space 122 in New York, and have been enjoying Squishy. It seems you have a gajillion new things happening, but if you ever want to do an except of your show in New York, please consider sending a tape for the committee's consideration. It's not much money, but a good excuse to come east if you have other stuff happening here, and a usually large and appreciate performance art audience! Here are the deets:

"Avany-Garde-Arama" is a tri-annual performance series at PS122. Usually 6 different pieces, of various disciplines--dance, music, film, performance--are performed each night. Proposals must include: videotape cued for viewing (but need not be the piece you are proposing), brief description of proposed piece which must be NINE minutes or less, and a SASE.

Anyone else think it's odd that although pamie's address is posted on every page, the agent puts up a public message meant only for pamie?

-- Anonymous, June 27, 2000

Hey, I don't mind. It's nice to be asked. (and Jeff, you're on.)

-- Anonymous, June 27, 2000

Pull in the reigns, there, Laura. 1. I'm not an agent, I'm an artist who happens to help curate this performance art mini- festival. 2. I'd happily accept and view submissions from you or anyone, so why not post it publically? 3. I'm a tech-loser and couldn't get the temp job computer to which I'm currently chained to send Pamie a message directly, so I used the easiest route, the one that worked, which happened to be forum. 4. AND Pamie seems to check the forum chats regularly, so I figured why not get her the information quickly. 5. GEEZ!

OH, that makes more sense.

I didn't really mean for the message to be as bitter as it must have sounded. Sorry, guys.

Woo hoo! We're definitely maybe gonna be at the show tonight. Depending on when we get down there from Dallas and all of that fun stuff. I'm excited to see the show, and to meet Pamie too, of course.

We're supposed to be eating at Magnolia beforehand (because there are dirty hippies there, or so we've been told) - is it any good?

Also, if you guys aren't doing anything after Pamie's show, my friends' band Chomsky is playing at the Red Eye Fly (10:30 p.m.). They rock. And they're cute too. :)
