Res. question regading PowerVCR... Please?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

Just tried out PowerVCR by Cybersomething... It starts with the following error message:

_________________________________________________

PowerVCR does not support 384 x 288 capture size! The min. and max. video size PowerVCR supports is 160 x 120 to 352 x 288.

Press oOK to select a proper size. _________________________________________________

Then I tried it out in the small res. and it worked quite allright even though it was different from the show options. Is this a european problem only or do other people experience this? If it is a local propblem, can one get around my 384 x 288 res. and change this?

It should be possible to down grade the res... Right?

With regards from Denmark.

And if anyone has a hard time understanding the problem, feel free to say so. It seems my language is having a meltdown. But just to be on the safe side... My system wants to record in 384 x 352 but is NOT allowed to.

Once more regards from Europe.

get the grappler.dll, My tv card also has this limit, but when I get that file, powervcr works fine. You can get this file from

http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Lake/2138/GRAPPLER.ZIP

you should backup your c:\windows\system\grappler.dll file. Hope it works for you.
