Stag Footballers - Check yer mailgreenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread |
All the lads and lasses that volunteered their footballing services next Saturday should read their e-mails (the ones you all post on here) for an update.If you can't be bothered, then it basically suggests we meet about 1.00pm-ish at either Regent's Park or Baker Street tube and gan up to the RP for a game. Home and away tops advisable, as is some sort of change kit for a drink afters.
Should the weather turn for the worst, it's an all-day drinker I reckon :-)
Let us know a.s.a.p

>>>>meet about 1.00pm-ish at either Regent's Park or Baker Street tubeI can already see this instruction causing problems. (-;
Let's be more decisive and meet at the end of the M25...
I'm hoping to be there Bobby but can't confirm till Friday.

Where's Regents Park? I want to meet there. OK. I reckon I can find Baker Street as well. Which entrance?? Anybody got any floor space to recover on afterwards? Plus somewhere to park the motor???

Well Bobby, on a visit to the Chester-le-Street training ground a while back, I was "fielding" behind the goalkeepers and returning the ball to the GK coach whose name I can't recall just now.On kicking the ball to him I remarked that I hoped my skills weren't going unnoticed. He replied that I had an "educated left foot".
Unfortunately the rest of me is as thick as 2 planks...

I hear that there's a pub very close, which sounds like the easiest place to meet at. As for car parking, it's all tricky (and expensive) round that part of London. Am I right in thinking that there's pay & display car parking in RP itself?Screach, mail me and I'll pass on me mobile number so you won't get too lost :-)

Jonno, compared to Lionel Perez I'm sure the GK coach would have thought my backside was more educated on the ball ;-))
