Dead Heads - The return of Casey Jones?

Never been a big fan of the dead myself, but this article did bring back memories of one my favorite songs, and made me chuckle.

"Drivin that train, high on cocaine... Casey Jones you better, watch your speed."

If I know die-hard Dead Heads they will want to put this one in their scrapbooks. Maybe Jerry Garcia was psychic?

Derailed New York train's operator tests positive for cocaine

From staff and wire reports

NEW YORK -- The operator of the train that derailed in New York's subway this week has tested positive for cocaine, New York City transit officials announced.

Although it is unclear if the drug use played a role in the derailment, the operator has been suspended and his dismissal is being sought, the Metropolitan Transit Authority said Friday.

The train's conductor tested negative for drug use.

Some 66 people riding the B train in Brooklyn were injured late Tuesday evening when the wheels of the third car skipped off the track, sending riders sprawling when the brakes automatically engaged.

The derailment caused the train's first three cars to become separated from the rest of the eight-car train.

Transit officials said they have eliminated no possible causes, including the possibility that a switching mechanism failed as the train changed tracks.

The operator tested negative for drugs on 10 prior occasions dating back to 1991, according to the MTA. Four of those tests were random drug checks.
