I heard on an NBC commercial during ER, for Law & Order Special Victims Unit that the lead actress, who used to play Mark's whiney girlfriend and desk clerk Cynthia, was nominated for best lead actress in a drama series. I didn't notice whether this was an emmy nomination, because I thought it was too early. But if it isn't, what is it? Anyways, although I hope ER dominates the emmy's this year, it's nice to know "Cynthia" got a more confident role and is doing well in it. I didn't mind her so much, but I think some (including some of the characters) did.

The primetime emmy nominations are not announced until July 20th. Mariska H (not sure of her last name) the actress form L&O -SVU was however nominated for "Best Actress in a Drama Series" by Viewers for Qualit Television Awards. Julianna Margulies was also nominated for Best Actress in a Drama Series along with Laura Innes(who was put in the supporting actress role) I don't believe these awards are televised.

Emmy nominations aren't due until June 28 and will not be announced until July 20. I can't believe Mariska Hargitay was nominated for best actress for the Quality TV awards...she must have improved alot over her guest starring role in ER (I don't watch L&O SVU).

Mariska Hargity (sp?) is the daughter of Jane Mansfield and Mickey Hargity (a 1950's strongman)
