CPR explains his obsession with Y2K

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TB2K spinoff uncensored : One Thread

I am hardly "infallable". I don't have your "resume".

I do have one thing to fall back on in the future.

I was RIGHT about Y2k IMPACTS.

And YOU, Mr. Heller, were "WRONG WITH EXCUSES SO DON"T BLAME ME".

FUCKING WHIMP.

-- cpr (buytexas@swbell.net), June 21, 2000.

That pretty much says it all, doesn't it? As I had surmised, the reason he is hanging onto Y2K with both hands and both feet is that it is his sole claim to fame. That's why he can't let it go. He doesn't want to go back to being an anonymous real estate broker. Sorry, Charlie, that's the way it goes. Too bad you don't have any real accomplishments to "fall back on". You may get a footnote in the history books ... but probably not.

I am hardly "infallable". I don't have your "resume".

I like Charlie's sense of humor. Too bad you're too dense to get it Heller.

-- Buddy (buddydc@go.com), June 22, 2000.

CD,

Hell-R will never understand. I don't care about "my place in history".

He seems to. In the Book of Y2k Fear Mongering, he will be filed in the Chapter, Minor Players, MISC., Heller, Steve.

FOREVER.

And that is why he wants so badly to "REVISE" the opinions of others for his "Image".

One should note that it is hard to find the slightest mention of Y2k on his "resume".

Now, why should that be?

LOLOLOL at Heller for months.

-- cpr (buytexas@swbell.net), June 22, 2000.

The only obsession I've ever seen is the one HYSTERICAL!! Heller has for Mr. Reuben.

-- (Red Cross@is always.here), June 22, 2000.

Pop quiz:

Now that Heller has once again "shown his ass", will he next;

A) Attempt to redeem himself on this thread by chiming in under a number of various anonymous new names (as is his custom)?

B) Attempt to kill this thread by posting his resume for the 34th time?

C) Both "A" and "B"?

-- CD (costavike@hotmail.com), June 22, 2000.

Mr. Heller,

I feel your pain.

I understand your meme.

I know the truth hurts, and you wish to lash out in vindication.

The facts in the matter are clear for everyone, now. You were as wrong as wrong can be. And, you can't explain it - after all, you have this experience - you are the Steve Heller.

Disillusionment hurts, but you do not have to take it out on Mr. Reuben.

Now if stevey "no balls" heller could just explain his obsession with CPR.....

(psst, I think he has a crush on you, Charlie! I always suspected that his bread was buttered on "both sides")

Heller, You should go see Dick for some balls. He has plenty. I'm sure he could spare a few tiny ones for you! Then maybe you could start your own testoterone production and quit trying to borrow CPR's!!!

Steve "Always Wrong" Heller - what a sad sack...

Heres Stooge Steve last year:

On January first, there'll be a spike of errors in process control systems that will cause widespread power outages, communication outage s, and other immediate effects. However, some power companies will manage to keep the power on in many places, and many people will breathe a sigh of relief.

Unfortunately, this relief will turn out to be premature. Over the next several weeks, breaks in the supply chains to the power companies, primarily fuel supplies, will result in a gradual degradation of the infrastructure. Water treatment plants will run out of supplies, hospitals will stop functioning properly due to lack of drugs and other supplies, and this will be repeated in every industry. The economy will grind to a halt.

But the most serious problem, in the north at least, will be frozen pipes. If the power's off for more than a few days in the middle of winter in Detroit, Chicago, New York City, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and other northern tier cities, they'll be devastated by frozen water pipes and sewer line backups. Plague will follow shortly. Most of the inhabitants of the northern cities will die within a matter of a few weeks, from cold, disease, fires started in an attempt to keep warm, or random violence.

How wrong could anyone ever be about anything than this human boil?

Thank you all for displaying what a venom-filled, hate-spewing crowd you are. Your place in history is secure ... right alongside Hitler, Stalin, the Salem witch hunters, and all their hangers-on.

-- Steve Heller (steve@steveheller.com), June 22, 2000.

venom-filled, hate-spewing ???

Boy, you are dense. You spew hate and condescension every time you wave your resume in everyone's face.

"Real accomplishments" huh? And what would that be there fella? You wrote the 9,999th book on programming in C. Big freakin' deal.

As for comparing anyone here to Hitler, don't make me laugh. On second thought, that makes me sick. What was that about hate?

-- Buddy (buddydc@go.com), June 22, 2000.

I guess once one of you Pollys get hold of a fact, no matter how small, that you can use to discredit someone, you'll never let go. I've already agreed to stand by my prediction that we are looking at another great depression at the minimum. As for my credentials, I posted a link to my resume for all to look at. As soon as the anonymous character assassinators do the same, then we can talk about who is more qualified technically to comment on software development issues. Until then, they have to be dismissed as having no credibility whatsoever.

I think my accomplishments speak for themselves. For example, I've been listed in at least one regional edition of "Who's Who in America" because I'm an author of several PUBLISHED books, not just internet rantings like most if not all of you; my books, by the way, are about C++, not C. Have any of you ever accomplished anything? I guess not, or you wouldn't be so jealous of me.

-- Steve Heller (steve@steveheller.com), June 22, 2000.

lets get this straight. steve heller says that it will be a good thing that people will die (stop breathing) due to y2k, but the people on this thread are being compared to hitler, stalin, et al.?

Wow, steve. That is quite an ego you have there.

-- steve heller is backwards (stevebackward@steveheller.com), June 22, 2000.

Hiya, Steve.

So, is being "PUBLISHED" the only requirement for entering this discussion?

Hoff

-- Hoff (hoff_meister@my-deja.com), June 22, 2000.

Steve:

After reading some of your wrong predictions, your place among distinguished idiots is assured, arguing that "my dad can beat up your dad" with a bunch of 'pollies' can not change the colossal nature of the mistakes you have made. How's the charcoal foundry working out?

(I have to) Heave Stellar

-- Heave Stellar (Heave Stellar@sowrong.net), June 22, 2000.

Helter's just one of those "educated airheads" who completely lost it on Y2k. It would be sad if it was not so pathetic. He continues to thrash about, spilling excuses in his wake. It's a personality disaster of the fourth magnitude.

Is it true he trashes his American-born students and favors the Asian? Are those nasty reviews true? If they are, Helter should perhaps consider a position in the field of "Internet Research." By all accounts, the field is looking for memetic fascist doomer types whose predictions fail...

"my books, by the way, are about C++, not C"

Yeah Stevie, I pulled a C+ average back in high school myself. It always made me angry when people said that I was just a C student. I mean, as if........ If you actually pulled off a C++, perhaps you could have handed the teacher a 5 dollar bill, and they could have upped your grade to a B-.

-- Butt Nugget (catsbutt@umailme.com), June 23, 2000.

CPR will have a place in my history books, along with all the others who were debunking you and other fear-mongers.

-- Monkey Spanker (spanking@way.com), June 23, 2000.

I've been listed in at least one regional edition of "Who's Who in America"

my books, by the way, are about C++, not C

If you don't get why both of these statements are hilarious, then it's no wonder you didn't get Y2K and you still don't.

Hey, I was listed in the "National Dean's List" in 1979. Does that count?

Oh, and I won coached a high school baseball team to the city championship. For that I got on local cable TV show for a half hour. Is that as good as a regional "Who's Who"?

Y'know, ya might even be interesting to talk to if ya weren't so full of yourself.

-- Buddy (buddydc@go.com), June 23, 2000.

Oddly enough, I don't quite feel right joining in this frenzy (I really AM tired of this Y2K nonsense; when are we going to start talking about Y10K??), but I do need to point out a couple of things here.

"...I've been listed in at least one regional edition of "Who's Who in America" because I'm an author of several PUBLISHED books..."

Don't quite know how to tell you this but **I** receive those "invites" at least twice a year, yet I've never published a book (nor have I "authored" any).

And, according to you, I'm nothing more than an Absolutely Undistinguished Dimwit.

I was, however, featured on the evening news in NYC several years ago thanks to my speech at a NYC Transit Authority Hearing. Funny thing about that, they took all three (3) of my ideas and implemented them, thus saving the MTA millions of dollars.

Not to belittle your accomplishments (though you have no problem belittling others for no apparent reason), but you've done.....what? "PUBLISHED several books"? Wait a minute. Let's re- read how you phrased that....."I'm AN author of several PUBLISHED books". (Subtle difference, but it's there.) Anyway, that would put you in the company of Ed Yourdon, and possibly Marianne Michaels, and well, let's see, I know there were a couple of others.....oh yes, how could I have forgotten.....possibly Andy Ray and (if she decides to do it) LadyLogic.

You were saying.....?

-- Patricia (PatriciaS@lasvegas.com), June 23, 2000.

Your place in history is secure ... right alongside Hitler, Stalin, the Salem witch hunters, and all their hangers- on.

Actually Hitler, Stalin and the Salem witch hunter have all been dead for awhile. In the meantime several newsworth historical events have occured. I guess what I am trying to say is that our place in history will be more in line with contemporaneous events.
