Why are England so shit? Is it management? Is it the effect of so many years of route one? Is it the fact that the media are always on their backs. It seems to me that if we are going to harness the great generation of younger players coming through, we need a fundamental change of approach. Any thoughts?

Play 3-5-2 at international level and be prepared to pack the midfield and switch into a 3-6-1 or 4-5-1 formation at will.

Find someone who can pass the ball into the channels from central midfield.

Get Venables back as England manager.

England: so where did it all go wrong Malta and the warm up games!!! Keegan never tried to find a solution to the left wing spot, I thought he should have tried barry for a couple of games to see how he would handle it. From what I saw he crossed the ball well. Also with no left winger of any worth, the tactical play by the opposition was so damn easy to figure out. No left winger, thats were the oppositon attack. Beckam only option on the right, thats were the opposition will defend. Piss easy aint it, those two simple tactics basically meant England had to use the long ball option with only shearer able to hold the ball up. God I should be the England manager, what da ya all think??? Am
