ZoomBrowser Software

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

I purchased a Canon A50 a while ago, and was very happy with the ZoomBrowser software that came with it for organizing software.

At one point, I had to reinstall Windows to a new directory, so I needed to reinstall ZoomBrowser.

Unfortunately, I've lost my original CD. I've looked at other image organizers, but I don't really like any as much as ZoomBrowser. Is this program available as a stand alone version? I still have the files on my hard disk, but the program won't run (it says it isn't installed correctly). Is there perhaps a registry entry that needs to be present, or a dll I need to copy from my old windows directory that might make it work again?

Also, I've seen the version of ZoomBrowser that comes with the newer cameras like the S20, and they seem to lack some functionality that was in the A50 version (like Venn search).

Any help appreciated.

Shane, I came upon your question today, and I have the same problem. Did you ever find out how to get the standalone version of Zoombrowser? Thanks for your help.

Here is the address where you can d/l the softwere. If it isn't the version of your camera, try search in that directory.
