Your "First Time"

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Gwen's Trailer Trash Forum : One Thread

What was it like the first time you "did it"? No, I'm not trying to take this forum down the dark, seedy path to soft porn...just wondering if y'all felt like you made the right decision? Was he/she the right person? Did you wait until you were mature enough to start having sex? Or did you wait too long? Where were you...a car? Your house? The football field? Was there anything particularly humorous or terrifying about the whole ordeal? Was there a song on the radio forever burned in your mind in association with that event?

I'm not really asking for any reason except that I think it might make for an amusing topic.

It was on my best friend's bathroom floor, New Year's Eve, with some English guy I'd lusted after forever. It didn't last long, so I don't think it counted. Heh.

I was 15, probably too young, but one of the last few girls in my peer group to lose it. My first partner was a boyfriend, but not anyone I was particularly crazy about. I lost it very purposefully, that is, I wanted to get it over with and he got the job done. It didn't hurt but it was in no way inspiring. I just wanted to get it out of the way, I think. It wasn't long before I dumped him and moved on to a guy I really cared about and started having a stellar teenage sex life. I have no real regrets, but now I think it is too bad that I didn't value my virginity more. I know I'm pretty lucky, though. At least it was my own choice.

Ugh. I hate this question, because it reminds me of how stupid I was. I was 16 and I just wanted to lose it. I had had this crush on this guy (who had a girlfriend) and my friend was dating his friend so I told his friend I wanted to lose it to this guy, so he set it up at his parents house, while they were out or something. He totally never spoke to me again, and I think now he is in jail or something. Probably the biggest mistake of my life. I totally wished I would have waited.

My story is rather sweet, actually. I was 15, totally in-love for the first time, and he was also a virgin (no, really!). We had a LONG courtship...starting holding hands in October, didn't kiss until New Year's Eve, and it was Feb. 20 that we finally went all the way. We were at my house, my bed, my folks being out of town on a ski trip. He was very sweet. He had a plan, and we were messing around, and he said "you're tired, why don't you take a nap". I didn't want to, but he left the room, and I slept, and he came in later, and woke me up very passionately. We were true first loves, almost married in our early 20s, but he broke it and married someone else. I still think he made a big mistake, and Jack? If you ever read this? You really should call me sometime! :-)

No regrets, except that I became sort of sex-craved and skipped a lot of school and almost ruined by life by almost flunking out. Come to think of it, even after I got to jr. college I continued to be distracted by members of the opposite sex, but I'm not going to blame that on becoming sexually active too young. Just healthy, normal boy- craziness, I think.

I was fifteen and like several people here, just wanted to lose it. Which did not AT ALL have ANYTHING to do with having just been humiliatingly dumped by the love of my life, the first person I ever did much of anything with, the guy I totally wanted to sleep with and marry and-- you get the picture.

So I picked a really cute guy while in the slough of rebound despondency and decided to sleep with him. Having no car and no way to escape my parents for any length of time, I actually snuck him into my house at night. While trying to undress, he got tangled in his pants and fell full-length on the floor.

The rest of the night was not an improvement.

I lost my virginity when I was 16 to my boyfriend's father. I went to my boyfriend's house and he was out with some friends, and his father asked if I wanted to hang out and wait for his son to come home. We started playing cards, and next thing I knew we were playing strip poker. Well, one thing led to another and we ended up in his bed. I still dated his son while sleeping with him for over 6 months, until my parents found out. My parents made me go to our priest for councelling for a while, but it didn't really do much.

-- Anonymous, June 22, 2000

Evidently it didn't do anything, you psycho whore.

-- Anonymous, June 22, 2000

Wow. This topic didn't end up being near as amusing as I thought it would be. Except for the guy that got tangled and fell on the floor. Gwen, you have my encouragement to archive this mess to the "non- interesting" section! ;-)

-- Anonymous, June 22, 2000

It'll go to that section automatically if people stop posting on it.

I would tell my story, but you know -- my dad, Paul's coworkers...

Hey, I'll draw a comic strip about it, instead!!

Or, you could write to your notify list about it. I'm sure we'd all love 3 gigs' worth of gif attachments all about your loss of virginity.

(I'm not kidding, pathetically enough.)

-- Anonymous, June 22, 2000

Now there's an idea... and then the people who'd just joined the list would be like "Yeah, hi... I'd like to unsubscribe immediately."

I'll tell you the story, Jackie, and you can post it on your site anonymously. It *is* sort of funny -- especially if you aren't the person to whom it happened.

It was this year - I had been 23 for about a month. It was on my internet boyfriend's second night out here with me in California. I had been waiting for the right person. I knew he was it when I met him.

Am I the only person posting here who was over 21 when it happened? I'm always afraid people are laughing at me about that.

I'm wondering if Suki's boyfriend's father gave her some diamonds afterwards.

-- Anonymous, June 22, 2000

Lauren: you might have been the only one over 21, but I doubt anyone's laughing. That sounds fabulously romantic to me. I was 18, if that makes you feel any better.

-- Anonymous, June 23, 2000

I was 18 too and it was awful. And then at 19 I met my husband.

-- Anonymous, June 23, 2000

Yep, I could post it on my site, Gwen. Or...you could submit it to you know who (and her friend).

-- Anonymous, June 23, 2000

I was 18 when I lost my virginity to the man who is now my husband.

And my friend is 28 and still a virgin - she is going to wait until she gets married.

-- Anonymous, June 23, 2000

Nicole! I didn't know that! That's very dear.

-- Anonymous, June 23, 2000

Mock, you didn't know my friend was waiting until she got married? I thought I told you that!

-- Anonymous, June 23, 2000

Jackie: I thought of that, too! I'll save it in case they need a maudlin tale sometime in the future.

What have we learned, y'all? That the first time often sucks, no matter what your age? Where are the freaking men? Paul W., tell us about your first time. Duke of URL, quit admiring your testicles and give us your testimony. Paul Ray, use a psuedonym and lay it on us!

-- Anonymous, June 23, 2000

Nicole, no--that your husband and Gwen are the sole players in your sexual history.

I gave it up to a guy I dated from age 17-21. I was in love with him in the way that 17-21-year-olds are in love, so it was a nice experience. It did take several times for me to really pick up on the concept, though. I remember very clearly the night that the big old light bulb went off.

-- Anonymous, June 23, 2000

Mock, did you forget that night last year when we played "Shaft meets Cleopatra Jones" ? Well, we did have a lot to drink. You, Gwen and I woke up in the morning with melted ice cream all over our bodies...

Hot night in Chicago, indeed.

-- Anonymous, June 23, 2000

Damn, that's right. You said, "I will also serve ice cream." Ah, memories.

-- Anonymous, June 23, 2000

I was "old", too. (I was 21.) It was more waiting for A person rather than the right one. It was okay.

-- Anonymous, June 23, 2000

I always heard that losing one's virginity was a very painful and often a horrible experience. I just want to state, for the record, that my first time was incredible and painless. This might sound hokey, but someone told me once a few years ago that if sex hurts, it's a sign that the person you're with is not the one you belong with.

-- Anonymous, June 24, 2000

Nicole and Mock, Ha!!

I was 18, and we were both virgins and it was sweet. It was in my dorm room after a night of live music and dancing.

-- Anonymous, June 26, 2000

I was 18. I wish I had waited.

-- Anonymous, June 26, 2000

Dang, Lauren--that seems a little harsh. I mean, it could just mean that you're not yet used to exploring--hell, recognizing--your own sexual response. I mean, 17-year-old boys are not really known for their subtlety. It takes a while to figure out how everything works.

-- Anonymous, June 27, 2000

I was 15, almost 16, and I'm sorry to say guys...it was nice and I was in it solely for the experience, with my boyfriend at the time.

-- Anonymous, June 28, 2000

I actually broke up with my serious boyfriend who was older and more in love with me than I him before having sex with him, because even though I was really into him, I didn't want to have sex with him. Soon after, I was at a club and met a friend of my friend's boyfriend and was completely sexually attracted to him (I think I went home from the club that night with a hickey or two) and knew that I wanted him to be my first. I was 17, and he was probably 19. I had no delusions of love, just lust, and when we did it, it hurt like a motherfucker, but I'm sure that had a lot to do with his endowment. I remember him saying, "Relax. Just relax." and I was thinking, "Relax? I can't even breathe it hurts so much!" I broke up with him soon after, and got back together with the other boyfriend, and he cried when I told him I wasn't a virgin anymore. I remember thinking he was pretty annoying.

Hi!

I am a 18 year old girl and am thinking about the first time . I am a virgin. I want to know your opinion about it. Is it really that important? Should I wait till I found the "right" one? That's what I am doing now. Thanks.
