How do I "batch" move Photos?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

I have over 1500 digital Photos on my computer stored With Clubphoto album software. I'm getting ready to start storing them on CD-ROM. Before I start writing CD's, I want to organize them into folders with no album software. I can copy them one at a time into the new folder, but at this rate, I will take me all year. Does anyone know of a method or program that I can use to move a bunch of photos at a time? Thanks Glenn Patch

I don't see the problem. Simply select them as you would any other group of files (using the mouse and SHIFT key in Windows), and copy or move them to the folder(s).

You can also "point & drag" with the mouse to highlight the set of files (photo) as move or copy them as a group. You also mentioned that you will write the CD, the CD writer software should let you choose more than 1 files to write on CD too. To organize the album, first you must creat the "New Folders" and rename them to suit your liking then the "drag & drop" will be a breeze.
