Full page spread in todays Scottish Mail, Mark Hately ex Rangers and England center forward waxes lyrical about Alan. To be fair he has continually championed his corner in the run up to Euro and I guess he is justifiably smug in telling all "I told you so". Interesting point is he as a good old fashioned center forward is scathing about the merits of Heskey, he feels Als best days are in front of him,is still the best striker in the country,and urges him to reconsider his decision. Heskey is not half the player, is not a goalscorer, on his backside too much and does not punch his weight. So for every Oliver Moult, look and at times you can find a a piece by a ex-player, who knows the game and is prepared to air his views.
