It's a nice, colorful, graphic photo, but IMO, it would be nicer if the whole sky had color.

I really like this. I think it conveys a tremendous amount of mood. Nice job.

I agree with Keith. Ask God to make the sky more colorful and try the shot again. ?

I agree with Keith also.....the black in the sky is a shame as it just kills to much sky

Well, to each his own. I agree with the others that its a beautiful, simple, and graphic images, but I disagree with the need for a more colorful sky. I think its an effective use of "dead" space.

Perhaps a bit of cropping is in order to kill some of the black, but overall I feel it's an excellent image.

Thanks for the constructive feedback. As the photographer, it's difficult for me to exclude the experiences this photo is connected with and view this as just a photograph.

I tried two different crops, but they just don't seem as effective as the original. If you're interested, they're at:

I'd be interesting in your comments on these versions, as well as your own crop. Again, thanks for your comments.

There's nothing wrong with your personal connection to your image, but when you try to market it, you need to do your best to be objective. For me, your original version tells the story better than the two cropped versions. I bet others will prefer the first crop though.
