CD+G is a fairly dead format. I've heard it's used with some video kareoke machines. I've found one pc and one mac player.

Basicly, the format is the same as normal redbook audio, except you can link static bitmap pictures to each track. These images are recorded in the sub-code, which only some burners can write to. Also, not too many cd-rom drives can read the sub-code section properly, the only one I've found that can do it is a burner!

If you are interested in CD-G then you will need to go to www.goldenhawk.com web site they have all the information you will need about CD-G. This is the format used by most Karaoke Players. Another good site to goto is www.ncf.carleton.ca/.

Hehe... just a little tid-bit... Information Society, a music group from the 80's used cd+g back in the days on some of their cd's... included cheezy bitmaps and txt words. I found this out on accident when I was playing the cd in my Turbo Grafx 16... which turned out to be a CD+G player. :)

Toodles.
