How to scan a 3D Object (2 cm Height) with 800 ppigreenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread |
I need to scan a 3 dimensional Object (10 cm* 20 cm *2 cm). I read on the Microtek ScanMaker 5 datasheet something about 3D. How can help me ?

From the dimension you gave, the object in question may not be suitable for 3D scanning because it looks like a 1 inch thick box. Scanning will get one full side of it only. More practical objects will be something like few grapes or cherries which have curves on them and can be scanned by some scanners (check Tiger direct). If you don't even have a scanner yet, buy a digital camera instead.
