Emile Mpenza wants to play in England. Is there any chance for Newcastle to sign him to play alongside Shearer?

Heard of him, Seedorf, but know nowt about the lad. I take it you think he's good, but what sort of a player is he ? And worth how much of our precious kitty ?

Sorry about that. There seems to be something of an echo from another thread .... ;o}

Speaking of making up our own transfer targets, I notice that Julian Joachim has spat the dummy at Villa. Anyone care to join me in an offer for say 2 million ?

An offer for anyone would be nice. Especially when you read that the Heath are after Nedved from Lazio for #21m! B@&%#$#S!

Paulo Nedved - smashing player what I've seen of him. But 21 million ? There again, 6 million for Sutton ?! And what does that make Maric worth on the open market .... ??

And Seedorf comes in from the cold.

A brief bio on the lad.

Country: Belgium Club: FC Schalke 04 Born: 04/07/1978 Height: 1.74m Weight: 69kg

Position: Forward Shirt Number: 9

He became the second youngest player to play for Belgium when he made his national-team debut against Northern Ireland in 1997. The powerful striker initially emerged with R. Excelsior Mouscron and then starred for R. Standard de Lihge, with whom he scored 16 goals in 26 matches.

While still a teenager, he made two substitute appearances with Belgium at the 1998 World Cup. He has since left the Belgian league for FC Schalke 04 for a Belgian record fee.

Still only 22, he is Belgiums brightest attacking talent and his devastating pace one of the strongest weapons in the Belgian teams armoury. He combines excellent technique, speed and an eye for goal to good effect.

He was in impressive form in Belgiums EURO warm-up match against fellow hosts Holland in March, scoring a fine goal and linking up well with Branko Strupa.

Tre, you are slipping mate, did not mention his brother, also Belgium international,I Like Emile, other workmanlike, long time since George and Ted Robledo at the Toon, True, Jonno, Floridean and Clarky, golden oldies got to stick together eh!!

Sorry to let you down Bill.

Actually I deleted the bit about his brother as he's drop dead ugly and I wouldn't wish him on any club, let alone the toon. Also his brother isn't up to EPL standard.

I signed Emile Mpenza in the Championship Manager, and the board thinks that he is a valuable member of the team. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Mpenza tips Keegan's men

England will win Euro 2000. That's the view of Belgian hotshot Emile Mpenza, whose side opens the tournament against Sweden on Saturday. "I'd bet on England for the European Championships. I like that country a lot and one day I'd like to play over there," he told reporters at the Belgian training camp. "I like the way football is played there," added the striker who has no plans to leave the Bundesliga just yet. "I like to take things one step and one level at a time. Schalke and the Bundesliga are great for me at the moment. But I want to develop. And my next goal is the Premier League."

G'day Guster - sadly I thought that would be the answer re. Silver-toed Moocher.

So are you not tempted by Joachim either ? I thought he could be worth a punt myself.

BTW, an excellent 3-1 win for the mighty Zetland yesterday. I missed a penalty ! How did your lads get along then ?

We already have enough Nationwide players on our books without spending that sort of money on another one.

We had a self satisfying 3-1 win ourselves against a team called Morley Windmills.

Our Left back is a canny player, he is right footed but can still cross with his left. He beat 2 players and whipped in a fine cross to the far post, the ball was nodded back and cracked into the back of the net.

If only YBR had some scouts over this part o the world!!!

Sure Gus, then we'd have some even shorter goal keepers heading over to NUFC heh. ;-)

On the topic of this thread, E. Mpenza looked good in this mornings sports highlights on the match v the the turks.

Ha Ha Mr smarypants, I'm not playing in goals this season.

Now I know why Gav abuses you!! I might join his side, if the transfer fee and signing on fee are substantial;o)

Nominal fee and a few beers thrown in for the signing on fee....how does that sound?

Well it is a starting point!!

A free trip to the UK say once a year, use of your season ticket when I arrive. Can only stay for Max of 2 weeks though which should only be 1 home game.

All formal offers after this pre contract agreement will be through my agent Bunga Graham
