Graham Poll

What a knobhead! The usual pitiful display. Not an English performance to be proud of.

Unfortunately have to agree softie - one of the poorer refereeing performances in Euro 2000 as yet, in which the overall standard has been fairly good so far.
The penalty decision was a joke - made worse by the Brit linesman agreeing with Poll that the tackle was inside the area when it was very clearly well outside. This was then substantiated by Bonehead Barry Davis agreeing with Poll and mate that it was inside, despite having the benefit of slo-mo action replays. Tossers!
Poll as usual was overly fussy, and displayed his irritating tendency to try to ingraciate himself with the players at the same time as playing the tough man. Just doesn't work Graham.

It's the way he stops playing advantage to try to get his nreath back that upsets me most of all. He does it in every game: quite good to start with and then more and more pointless stoppages as the game goes on. There should be a minimum level of fitness required for the job, and if there already is one, it needs raising!
