Eight Killed, Three Missing in Mine Gas Poisoning

BEIJING (June 16) XINHUA - Eight people are dead and three confirmed missing in a gas poisoning incident in a coal mine in southwest China's Sichuan Province, local police confirmed today.

According to local police, 20 coal miners were poisoned in the morning of June 14 in a private, small coal mine in Yanyang Town in Xingwen County.

Nine miners were rescued.
