Kieron Dyer in enjoying holiday shocker!!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

Today's Sun shows pictures of young Kevin enjoying a holiday with Jonathan Woodgate and Rio Ferdinand. The Sun deplores them for frolicking in the sun with some girls and drinking lager of all things.

Good team spirit building for the futire England Team I say and where were the rest of the team. Probably still in bed as they had drank even more the previous night.

More from teamtalk on Dyer's holiday:

Dyer and co in bother ++ Kieron Dyer's antics in Ayia Napa with other Premiership stars could land him in trouble. Amongst the things that Dyer, along with Jonathon Woodgate, Rio Ferdinand, Jason Euell, Jody Morris, Michael Duberry and others is supposed to have got up to is, heavy drinking, lude behaviour, riding a moped whilst drunk, and shouting obscenities at each other. The players also committed the cardinal sin of not watching England's game against Portugal on Monday. There's no doubt that their behaviour was boorish but it's no different from what most groups of young men get up to on holiday. Riding a moped whilst under the influence may get them in bother more than anything else they are alleged to have done but Bobby Robson will be particularly disappointed with Dyer's behaviour. News of the antics come just four days after we at TEAMtalk broadcast a piecehighlighting the need for Dyer to clean up his act off the field.

Dyer was quoted in the paper as saying that the life of pastime and pleasure was behind him and he was going to knuckle down and become a Newcastle legend. This was on Sunday. Anyway, Bill's in the same resort - tales to tell?

You'd imagine that Woodgate would act with a bit more circumspection, wouldn't you? I mean, I'm not sure that this is what the police bail people had in mind when Leeds said it was imperative that he keep his passport.

I certainly don't begrudge him having a good time on holiday. However, with regard to Dyer's interviews, he should do his talking on the pitch. Too often he is saying that and saying this and sooner or later it'll come back on him.

He doesn't need to talk to the press as much as he does, the odd interview for official NUFC publications would be enough for me.

And what about his girlfriend? She's pregnant! Rob Lee said he's staying at home this year as Anna is expecting a baby.

Sorry, only joking - can just imagine the Sun getting all self- righteous about it.

It's obviously a slow day for the hacks and this is easy meat and drink for them.

As for drink / driving, I'd be suprised if there was any concrete evidence of this - if there was, why didn't they inform the local coppers? What are the odds it was 2 bottles of Kaliber? :-)

Lewd conduct? Hmmm. Considering some NOTW hacks got knicked for buying illegal weapons the other day, it pales in comparison doesn't it.

I'm surprised The Sun didn't say Woodgate was part of a white supremist gang despite our Kieron & Ferdinand presence, isn't that how they reported his mates (which included Micheal Dewbury) who were allegedly involved in a fracas in Leeds.

The Sun claimed the pictures of the lads were taken while the England match went on, funny how it was broad daylight while the match kicked off at 10 pm local time.

Does anyone know what qualifications you need to be a red top journo? They tend to sound a bit thick.
