how can i resize an avi file using virutal dub??

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

whats up? i have some avi files that are quite bigger then the 352x240 vcd standard (some i have are 480x216). I was told the virtual dub can resize this. I have been using virtual dub for quite a while, but i see no choice for this. Can anyone help me out? thanks PS the panasonic encoder helps a little but i dont want to cut the image if i do not have to

Doug,

I have not touched that option yet...so far all i am doing with it is to convert ASF to VCD. ASF file frame size is 320x240 (default), so i used this option to resize the frame...much faster then panasonic will ever do...and export the frame by frame via frame server option so that panasonic can encode it back to VCD mpeg in real time. This process saves me 50% of the time it will take to convert ASF to AVI and then AVI to VCD MPEG.
