For those who are interested, I read that the Emmy Nominations will be announced on July 20 and the awards show will be broadcast from Los Angeles on September 10. I hope ER gets a multitude of nominations. Noah Wyle definately deserves the Best Actor Award. Who else deserves to be nominated?

Kellie Martin and Noah Wyle. Kellie and Naoh did a great job this year. Kellie saying thank-you in "All In The Family" It was very sad. Noah for that episode as well and the last episode. I know some may disagree about Kellie getting a nomination but that's my opinion. I loved her character because I'm alot like Lucy!

Laura Innes should definitely get a nomination! Kerry is such a great character and she does a wonderful job playing her. JMHO :)

I definitely agree about Laura Innes and I think Alex Kingston deserves a nomination as well. Of course, Noah Wyle should and I think the guy who played David Green (I cannot think of his name right now!) deserves one for a guest starring role...he was awesome! I personally, don't think Julianna really deserves one for this season's work. In the past she has always been great, but not this year.

I agree with Cammie. Kellie Martin DEFINITELY deserves an Emmy. So does Noah. They were absolutely stunning this year!

I definetly think Noah should be nominated for an Emmy, and he certainly deserves to win. Of all seasons, I think Carter was most demanding of Noah this season. I know I tend to forget that every emotion and feeling that Carter portrays in his expressions and body movements and tone of voice must go through Noah first, and this season certainly held a lot of emotion for Carter.

I also think Julianna should be nominated, just as tradition. She was good this season, I'm not sure I'd say phenomenal, but she definetly deserves at least a nomination.

John Cullum, who portrayed David Greene also deserves an Emmy for Best Guest Appearance. He really made us see who David Greene was, and that helped us to know Mark better. Just the fact that I was sad when David died after "knowing" him only a few weeks proves what a great job Cullum did.

And I'd love to see ER nominated as a show too, though the Sopranos while most likely step all over it in all categories. It's just the way things go now, though I'd wish it wouldn't happen that way.

Noah Wyle, definitely. For the last half of the season in particular, his was the standout performance for me.

Noah is the most deserving of an Emmy nomination this season. I would like to see Laura get nominated as well.

I agree: Noah, Anthony, maybe Alex Kingston, maybe Kellie Martin...But Julianna didn't do much this season. Her best moments were Such sweet sorrow and great expectations, but that's it.

I'm not sure how the Emmys work, but don't the producers submit JUST ONE EPISODE per actor to the committee to judge by? If that's the case, Julianna could very well be nominated and win based on "Great Expectations" alone.

S. Trelles...I think you are right. Julianna could very well be nominated for her work in Great Expectations. And she probably will partly for sentimental reasons since this is her last season. Overall though, I didn't think she was as good this year as in previous years. But, that is partly the writer's fault.

I think she definitely went downhill after "GE", but her performance as a woman going through childbirth, especially for someone who's never done it before, was phenomenal if you ask me.

Julianna was good until this season. They basically "killed" her character even though they didn't actually kill her. She was so depressing. I saw "Abby Road" last night and I cheered when Abby asked if Carol had a problem with med students. Too bad Lucy never did that.

This might get some groans, but I think All in the Family should be the episode submitted to get ER to win a category as a whole. And for Noah, and Kellie, and if Alex or Paul McCrane were to be nominated (Alex should be) them to, and possibly Peter. That is one award winning episode. They should have a category for stand-out episode for a series.

C'mon, I like Eriq LaSalle, but the man was in like two episodes. Maybe he could be up for favorite Guest Star. Meanwhile, I think our dear friend Michael Michelle deserves a nod for "worst actress in a drama series" (or for being on network tv for that matter. QVC is more interesting to watch than her!)

I agree with most of the above, plus I think Alan Alda will almost definately get nominated for guest appearance, and I think the All In The Family episode should be up for some director/writer type awards. I wouldn't mind seeing Innes up for DIRECTOR for Be Still My Heart. Great year for Innes.

I'm amazed that awards can be given out this way. I mean, submitting only one episode for people to peruse before deciding. How can you base the merit of an entire season of shows on ONE episode? By that logic, any show can work extra hard on one episode, slack off for the rest of the year, and submit the one good episode for consideration, and maybe even win. They could submit the ONE episode where Cleo had some semblance of an expression, for example. Is this really how the Emmys work?

When it comes to Emmy voting, I believe that the writers/producers submit multiple tapes per person. A month or so ago, hundeds of tapes of "Everybody Loves Raymond" were stolen which were headed to emmy headquarters. Well, there's only 5 actors on the show so they must have been submitting about 10-20 tapes per actor. I think ER does it the same way. They want to submit as many tapes as possible to shows an actors range and ability. Plus, all the tapes for guest actors. I'd love to see Alan Alda and Rebecca DeMorney get nominated. They're both great.

I saw an emmy nomination form on the emmy's website. There was a line that said "Title of series episode being chosen for submission" So, it seems that they are nominated for one particular epi, however, it doesn't mention if you can send in more than one nomination form for one actor. Did you know that there is a fee to nominate someone? I thought that was weird. Anyway, I just hope Noah Wyle gets nominated! Which epi would you pick to submit for his work? It would be hard to pick...he has been so good this year!
