I am a novice and need a camera for closeups to be used on ebay. Reviews tell me that the Nikon Coolpix 800 would be a good choice. I Would appreciate any suggestons you may have. My max price range would be around $400.

Puchase an Olympus D-460 Zoom. The new current price is $399 and it takes terriffic close ups as close as 8 inches. Use the 640 X 480 High Quality setting and the pics will look great with normal indoor lighting with out a flash.
