Corinthian League Playoff Final!

Division One Playoff Final

16 April 1997, Chelsea at SJP, we won 3-1. A great game from the lads with 3 first half goals, 2 from Big Al and 1 from Tino. What is even better is when you watch the goals on a video now you can't help but notice that each came from sending the ball straight through Leboeuf who looked close to tears after nasty Mr Shearer chipped the ball over his head and then clattered straight through him to wallop it past the despairing Grodas.

Quantum Mechanicals 1-3 Yelli's Yobs

Congratulations to Yelli and her Yobs on scoring an amazing 26 out of 33 on the playoff final, while Quantam Mechanicals managed a respectable 20 with an average of 17 for the whole league.

This means that we know who is playing in which league next season, and the South Coast has lost it's local derby unless Geordie can be persuaded to resume control of the Blaydon Racers once more now that Rude Bullet has taken up eating pizza full time ;-)

Thank you all for making this last season such a laugh, I'll post the info for the next season tomorrow.

Well as I received no applications for the vacant manager's job at the Parc de Pints (that's the job of a vacant manager!) it looks like I'll be resuming control of team affairs next season.

This time, however, I'm going to read the rules and points scoring system before I select my squad!

I guess my local derby will be against TSW. I assume you'll be arranging that fixture on a bank holiday.

Yelli- congratulations!. Your Yobs certainly kept firm throughout a torrid encounter and showed some good touches and movement. Good luck in the Premier League.
This has cost me my job - I am taking over at the Nobblers next season.
