AquaPonics

Is anyone on this list doing AquaPonics ?

I live in centra up-state NY and am looking for all the "advice" I can get re: setting up an operation here, for the express purpose of simply feeding my family. "IF" we can "make money" with it besides, that'll be an added benefit ... but's it's not our main goal.

We're willing to scrounge for materials as necessary, as opposed to buying everything new.

All help and advice would be greatly appreciated !!

Sincerely L. A. Smith

I have written you a personal e-mail seeking your definition or understanding of aquaponics. However, you might wish to visit www.aquaponics.com

Another source you might like to review is the way the Mayan's managed their gardens, via canal sludge, the floating gardens of the Aztec of Vera Cruz Mexico. A modification of these tech's may be the cheapest. If you have access to large amounts of manures, cheap, why not make Texas tea, liquid fert. as you liquid media. Works in hydroponics, but aquaponics?????
