Sorry I did not get the address. Go to nufc.com news section, then to news now. There is a story headed "Drop Shearer". I have to go now because I do not want to put my fist through this monitor.

Seen through Arsenal eyes and equally a load of tosh.

I have to agree about the Nevilles. Ince appeared to be the only midfielder who tried to defend in midfield and as they had a five man midfield, he was always going to look crap.

As for not blaming Seaman! Static-Man! Adams was at fault for the first and third goals and Campbell was at fault for the second. Rank defending and if it had been only a little better England would have won this match.

Shearer had a poor game in attack as did Owen, but Shearer was awesome in defence and it goes to show that he was needed back there, due to the two things. The deficiencies in midfield and Shearers will to work his bollocks off for his country.

I wouldn't worry too much about it - it's an Arse news page and the author seems to have conveniently forgotten that: a)Adams is basically crocked, b)Fowler is not 100% match fit, c) Shearer is simply the ONLY proven international goalscorer England have.

The author also seems to think that calling Shearer a donkey consitutes criticism, without reference to a single piece of action (apart from saying that he won corners...a bad thing???).

He's right though isn't he? A backbone of Spunky, Donkey, Spider and Shearer is decidedly creaky. They are all playing on past glories but equally, such is the poor quality of English football that there are no obvious replacements. Watching as a neutral (and only the second half) it was great to see a superior passing team adapt to counter the English high cross and go on to win. Singling Alan out is unfair, Ingerland are a team of donkeys led by a tactically inept manager. A victory for football.

If you are neutral dread where are your allegiances?

Clarky

When I watch international football, I don't have any allegiances, I just go for whichever team is playing the better football. I have prejudices of course and like to see the germans get beat and the African teams do well and lately I've quite enjoyed watching Ingerland because like the cricket team they're a joke but people always seem so shocked by how poor they really are. I support NUFC and don't understand why any of OUR players should be expected to turn out for other teams.
