Changes to pharmacy criticized

JPS officials say the problems with the
new pharmacy stem from an April computer
software glitch that caused a backlog of
thousands of prescriptions. They say
patients panicked and descended on the
Rosedale facility. Officials intended for
patients to turn in their prescriptions at
their neighborhood clinics, have them sent
to the Rosedale facility to be filled and
then sent back to the neighborhood clinics
for patients to pick up.

"Things were running about the way we expected
until the computer glitch and we had to start
manually processing things that had been done by
computer before,"
