Okay...I just finished watching Top Gun for the umpteenth time...but this time something struck me....is Slider (from Top Gun - his name was something like Ross Roskovitch in real life) the same guy who played Tag? Looked a lot like him. Thanks.

Did you also catch Michael Ironside on it, Amanda? He played Jester. He was Dr. William "Wild Willie" Swift (something like that, a recurring character in the early ER days. His character butted heads with Mark.

Tag was played by Rick Rossovich. There are a number of "ER coincidences that have been pointed out in the past". Kellie Martin and Chad Lowe were both on "Life Goes On" and "ER". Robert Carradine (Revenge of the Nerds) joined Dr. Greene for one episode. He played a psycho pretending to be a doctor. There's also the "Sisters" link. George Clooney played James Falconer on Sisters and Swoozie Kurtz and Sheila Kelly played patients on ER. I liked the Top Gun coincidence the most because I always hoped that Tom Cruise would show up as a patient--not that there's anything about him that needs fixing.

Catherine, I was waiting for someone to say something about that! Anthony Edwards was great, very funny...he played Tom Cruise's goofy best friend, and Meg Ryan is his wife! It was a pretty big role, they were a funny couple, I love where Goose (AE) is playing Great Balls of Fire in the bar and his son is sitting on the piano while him, Cruise, Meg Ryan, and Kelly McGillis sing with him. I wish Mark Greene would bust out on the piano like that.

Yes, I actually think there is a conspiracy going on linking er cast members with Tom Cruise. Apart from Top Gun other cast members have appeared:-Noah Wyle played a marine in 'A Few Good Men'. Also Kirsten Dunst who played Charlie the teenage prositute who was involved with Doug played the young female vampire in 'Interview with a Vampire'..........Spooky ehhh?
