You're toasted son, turn off the computer and go to bed before I have to cite you for an SUII (Surfing Under the Influence of Intoxicants) and haul you off to the slammer.

-- (HTML@re.us), June 11, 2000.

That's the funniest html I've seen since the flashing Y2K cannot be fixed!!

Problem is.. Andy Ray has a life already ..he loves chanting on and on about a few people who thought the world was going to end.. very banal.

But oh well.. maybe he'll have a change of heart and find a new life, how about it Andy?

-- Will (righthere@home.now), June 11, 2000.

Will,

Not a chance.... all of those that were RIGHT, will continiue to beat their chests and tell all of us how smart they were... and how stupid the Government was, how stupid Big Biz was, ETC, ETC, ad nasium. For the first time in their lives they were RIGHT !!!!!!!!

That's a very powerfull emotion being RIGHT !!!!!!!... expect to see this type of respounce for the next year or better..... 15 min. ain't enough :-)

-- Netghost (ng@no.yr), June 11, 2000.

Netghost:

If you are ever right, remember how you did it. You'll find there's a trick to it - listening! Those who got y2k right have an enviable track record in all things. Rather than display your envy by bewailing how lucky others always seem to be, why not learn this trick? Ignorance can be cured, and stupid is forever. Which are you?

-- Flint (flintc@mindspring.com), June 11, 2000.

Don't give me that crap flint, you played both sides of the fence all thru 1999, no matter which way it went you could be RIGHT !!!!!!!!, that's what is important to you, to be right.

Take your overblown ego and stuff it up your theasurus.

-- Netghost (ng@no.yr), June 11, 2000.

For the first time in their lives they were RIGHT

Not quite. I would like to explain how I knew I was wright, but at this time I am not in a position to sit down and do it correctly, and I am NOT going to promise to do something that circumstances may prevent me from doing (again). I learned my lesson on doing that last year.

But that in itself is a hint, the fact that I learned and am acting onthat which I learned.

-- Cherri (sams@brigadoon.com), June 11, 2000.

Cherri,

At least that was an honest answer :-)

-- Netghost (ng@no.yr), June 11, 2000.

Netghost is right Flint. You were as much as a doomer as you were a polly. Decker wasn't far behind. At least Netghost didn't flip flop every other post he made to the internet.

-- The Crown Jewel Of Y2K Preparations (better@than.Flint), June 11, 2000.

Crown:

When there's a great deal to be said for both sides of an issue, which is more honest -- to recognize this and point it out, or to totally ignore one side and pretend it doesn't exist (except to attack those who notice it)?

If you think it's OK to be dead wrong *provided* you're consistently and belligerantly wrong, then I can only laugh at you. Maybe you should wander over to EZboard, where being consistently wrong is an entrance qualification.

-- Flint (flintc@mindspring.com), June 11, 2000.

Flint, truth be known these losers are already on the EZ board. They just slither over here occasionally to experience unfettered speech under a different handle.

-- Ra (tion@l.1), June 11, 2000.

Ra,Flint,

There are doomers here on this board who admitt outright they were wrong about y2k,I mean hey it's not a crime. Those doomers who cannot admit they were wrong or that for some reason can't see that yurdon etc.duped them/us or think he is some great special dude(laughter)are over at SLEZ.To their credit there have been a FEW that have partially or fully defected

The differences in the boards,IMHO,are largely ethical and philosophical,ie. censorship, blindly following yurdon and not being a coward by joining a closed forum.

Maybe that's why Andy's continual postings are in themselves misguided and ridiculous, because he is preachin' to the friggin' choir.I think almost everyone on this board thinks/hopes they have a fairly good intellect,be you FORMER doomer or polly. To continualy dwell on the past is as eroneous as possessing a fear, based on faulty thinking concerning technology and a fixed date in the future,or so it seems to moi.

But then again,Iv'e still got 2/3 months worth of TP : )

-- capnfun (capnfun1@excite.com), June 11, 2000.

I am surprised at you Flint, after your mea culpa thread awhile ago. I think everybody learned something during the process... and that's a good thing.

-- Will (righthere@home.now), June 11, 2000.

capnfun, whadya say we go out and toilet paper the neighborhood.

-- Common grade vandal (not@my.house), June 12, 2000.

Cgv,

Not with my Charmin Ultra we won't,you got the cheap stuff? hehehe!!!

-- capnfun (capnfun1@excite.com), June 12, 2000.

Cap,

You really use that sissy stuff?

-- (nemesis@awol.com), June 12, 2000.

Capn,

Why waste your hard-earned money on Charmin when there's so much tree bark around?

Doomed up ahead of time and liking it,

Frank

-- Someone (ChimingIn@twocents.cam), June 13, 2000.

Hmphhhh, that settles it, Nemesis likes it rough :-)

This thread went from Wha? to toilet paper, interesting, very interesting....ROFL.

---sumer who needed the smile, BTW, wouldnt the bark put splinters in the tushie?

-- consumer (shh@aol.com), June 14, 2000.

Sumer,

Bark would put splinters in the tushie : |

Nemises,

My little bung hole is sooooo sensitive,a feller has got to take care of himself; )

Frank,

What in the name of Sam Hill is "doomed up"?

-- capnfun (capnfun1@excite.com), June 15, 2000.

'summer...most of these cowboys wouldn't know Charrmin from pousin..oak :-) May they wipe enternally..... and externally?

-- Netghost (ng@no.yr), June 15, 2000.

Netghost,

I guess ghosts don't have this quandry ; ) But try to keep it mind if you reincarnate.

-- capnfun (capnfun1@excite.com), June 15, 2000.

Capn,

"Doomed up" meant like "revved up" or "warmed up", I was *trying* to imply fully prepared for TEOTWAWKI and practicing for it, but as usual my tangent became a bit too "out there" to be understood.

Frank

-- Someone (ChimingIn@twocents.cam), June 15, 2000.

Was Flint not banned from Yourdon's (sp) new forum right from the start? Just curious. If he really played both sides, he didn't do so to Yourdon's liking.

-- sodium free (pure@merican.net), June 15, 2000.

That scrolling sign isn't HTML, its a .gif

2 different things, people.

-- non expert (but@know.more.than.doomers), June 15, 2000.

Frank,

After thinking about it after awhile I thought you might be talking about being "stowed up" or "backed up" : )

-- capnfun (capnfun1@excite.com), June 15, 2000.

sodium free....

Why Yourdon & Co. wanted to ban Flint?

Bottom line, because you can't B.S. around Flint, it just turns him on more [grin]
