Sony DSC-S70 and Imac connection problem.

When I connect my digital camera to the mac via USB, the mac doesn't recognize the device "the disk is unreadable by this computer" and asks to initialize the memory stick in the camera. If I initailize the memory stick, the camera can no longer read it. There doesnt seem to be any software that's necessary, other than the 2 USB drivers that were installed into the extensions file.

I picked up the camera in Japan recently and unfortunately the manual is not in English. Can anyone help?

The answer above is incorrect. I have a beige G3 with a usb card added and the camera works fine. the camera showes upas a disk and cn copy to and from the memory stick. I just dragged the ext. to the system folder and restarted. E-mail with any other questions.

Aye. I too have the Sony and it works terrific with my powerbook. The two extensions, Sony USB Device Driver and Sony USB Shim must be installed. The camera connects painlessly and shows up on the desktop like a disk volume. The PC card too is elegant, for those who have powerbook, no software install is necessary, just plug it in and it works!
