Italy - Turkey: Fiore. They said the Italian midfield was weak, but don't you believe it. This lad was great in the tackle and his passing was sublime. Didn't give away more than 2 freekicks and challenged for the high balls as well. A great all-rounder.

France, Just saw bits and pieces ,liked what I saw of Denmarks left winger early on, and his muscling of Desailly to get to the ball was superb, when commentator said he had given Delandre a run around in previous game, I thought hey up

Thought France were excellent - as good a side as I've seen for a long time. Thuram was terrific and Zidane simply sublime, dripping skill out of every pore.
Holland were staggeringly fortunate to beat The Czech Rebublic tonight, and must surely have used up a huge proportion of their allocation of luck in their first match.

Felt so bad for the Czechs! They deserved a draw at the very least. They worked so much harder than Holland. I was gutted when that penalty went past Pav.

Thought France v Denmark the most entertaining of the 3 games. Though wanted to smack Sulky before a ball was even kicked..the only French player not at least moving his lips during the national anthem. Really furious with him when he started to lolling about in the 2nd half rather than make himself available for crosses. Is Tosser of the Tournament restricted to journos? CAn we also have a Tosser Player of the tournament. Can I start the nominations off with Sulky?!

Agree with Buff, thought Grxnkjfr had an excellent first half for Denmark. France were just a class above in the second though, great goal by Henry.

Can't believe Del Piero doesn't start for Italy, best striker on show so far in my book.
