I've just started watching ER recently, and was curious... What is your favorite episode, throughout the show's entire run? I don't have one, yet.

I have to admit, mine is way back there in season 3 (or was it 2??), it's called "Motherhood" or something, the episode where Susan's sister Chloe has a baby; mostly because it is funny but I really, really love the part where Susan comes through the door with Chloe, who's in labor, and Carter's sitting at the front desk with coffee, and she shouts "Carter! I need some help!" and his chair tips over backwards and you can see coffee all over him later. This is totally the BEST ER moment ever!! Very classic ER moment.

Hey, Lauren, great pick. It's from season one, and on my short list of episodes I love. My favorites always bounce from episode to episode, but among them are "The Gift" and "Blizzard" from season one, and "Choosing Joi" from the dreaded season five. From season six, I'd say "Peace of Wild Things" and (no shocker here, I'd guess) "Such Sweet Sorrow."

I love "Motherhood" too, as well as "Blizzard," "The Gift," "Sleepless In Chicago," "Everything Old Is New Again," "Hell and High Water," "The Healers," "Union Station," "One More For The Road," "Fathers and Sons," "Of Past Regret And Future Fear," "Good Luck, Ruth Johnson," "Choosing Joi," "The Storm: Part I & II," "The Peace of Wild Things," "Great Expectations," and, of course, "Such Sweet Sorrow." :-) I'm sure there are plenty I forgot!!

Arianne, what a great list! I'm so happy I bought a ton of videotapes and taped TNT's first run-through of seasons 1-3. It's fun to pop one in and enjoy.

My *favorite* episode is "Great Expectations", with "Such Sweet Sorrow" following. Though the *best* episode, in my opinion, is "All In The Family". Runners up: "The Healers", "The Storm pt. 2", "Blizzard", and "Going Home". Actually the list is rather long. Any episode that has a great Carol moment, I love.

Favorite overall? Probably All in the Family or Blizzard. That's really hard to decide. For the seasons, I would have to say, 1: Blizzard, Everything Old is New Again, 2: Hell and High Water, A Shift in the Night, 3: One More for the Road, Dr. Carter I Presume, 4: Exodus, Gut Reaction, Fathers and Sons, 5: The Good Fight, Miracle Worker, 6: All in the Family, Such Sweet Sorrow, May Day

Here's my 2 cents worth. I thought the first time I saw Love's Labor Lost that it was terrific. It moved so fast and the drama was great. Remember at the end when Carter tells Mark that he thought he had done a great job. It was an excellent epi. Overall, my favs seem to be when Benton and Carter have reactions to each other. I could watch the last five minutes of May Day over and over. Maybe since it is so hard to get inside Benton's head, the few times you can see a little bit of his thoughts, it's so enjoyable.

Some of my favorite epis include Love Labor's Lost, Everything Old is New Again, Motherhood, A Shift in the Night, Hell and High Water, Exodus, Great Expectations, Be Still My Heart, Good Luck, Ruth Johnson, Such Sweet Sorrow, and May Day.

Not to be a Carter obsessive but I love "Exodus" and was really impressed by "May Day". I thought "Night Shift" was also an excellent episode. I remeber being totally shocked by Gant's death whereas, living in Britain I knew about the Carter/Lucy stabbing in advance. Also one of my favourite scenes was the Carter/Ross bitter basketball match in "Days Like These" after Carter found out that Harper and Ross spent the night together.

My favorite epi is a tie between: "All In the Family" and "Such Sweet Sorrow".

It's so hard to pick just one favorite episode over 6 years. However, if I HAD to pick my one favorite epi it would be "Everything Old is New Again" from the first season. It was sweet and funny and dramatic all at the same time. Plus, it opened the doors for Dr. Ross and Carol to get back together. Although it took them many boyfriends/girlfriends to realize they were soulmates, it was worth the wait.

Oh one more!! I just LOVE Fear of Flying. I is just AWESOME. Gant stood up to Benton and Benton realized how easy it is to ruin someone's life. Also the Susan/Mark story was fun.

Without a doubt mine is "Such Sweet Sorrow". I loved Carol when she left I was so sad. I also liked "A Shift In The Night". I think that's what it was called. "All in the Family" was really good too.
