So the team to miss out on a playoff spot was Jessie's High Pants, as The Stellar Warriors pop champagne corks and carry Galaxy round the Dickman PieDome. Obviously the scenes at the Jerry Garcia Memorial Ground were even wilder as Galaxy's protege (or should that be 'progency'?) Yelli overcame the runaway champions in a thrilling 4-3 battle royal.

This means that Yelli's Yobs will play The stellar Warriors in the first 2-legged playoff whilst Howdon Harriers meet Quantam Mechanicals to decide who goes to Kingston Park for the playoff final after the BBSCLFA Cup Final....don't even think about missing them!

*sigh* Well it's always a struggle when playing relegated teams. But the Goons did well to finish a respectable 10th. We'll be off on a post season trip to the Caribbean and look forward to next season!

Howay The Stellar Warriors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (:o)

Congratulations Galaxy, I thought my Porkie Pies had you till the last five minutes, great "never say die" attitude, of course my lads are all transfer listed and I am going to sack myself and hire a real manager/coach for next season. Pete

Thanks for a great season Softie!

Roll on next year. :o))

BTW One more change I'd like to suggest - We've played Manure 4 times, Chelsea 4 times and Liverpool 3 times this season (Not to mention Arsenal and Leeds twice each). Can you sort it so we don't play the same team more than twice in a season (unless they're sh!te)?

Still a great Compy thought. Thanks a lot.

Pete. Can I apply for the vacant manager's job? I'm pretty vacant.

>>>>>>We've played Manure 4 times, Chelsea 4 times and Liverpool 3 times this season<<<<<<

Just like the Scottish Premier League......

Screach,

If you can't get in the league next season, you can be my assistant manager. I see you as the Terry Mac type (Must be the hair)!

Or there's a vacant Director of Football job going if you think you're more of a Gordon Milne sort. :-))

ITK,

I wouldn't mind if we could play a few matches against Kilmarnock and Aberdeen! (Well we did manage two against Sheff Wed but both away.)

BLIDDY HELL !!!

Safely in a playoff spot pretty much all season, then I go and get done 6-0 (yes that's SIX, pop pickers) by a team that's been struggling most of the year (no offence to the Blaydon Racers who, I've no doubt, were the better team on the day Brian).

Someone up there is desperately trying to ruin my birthday, and damned near succeeding too. I shall away to Melbourne now to lick wounds, cry into me cornflakes etc.etc.

I may be some while .....

Lookinbg forward to the next season already

-- Anonymous, June 08, 2000

Your Birthday Loony? Bummer! What can I say? Average was 9, you got 5 and the other team managed 17 (I think - can't remember). Players must have thought it was a fomality...

Pilgrim, I wouldn't want to interfere with the choice of games; the real competition is between the bbs teams and we're all in the same boat for those. It is odd how they come up though, last season we played Coventry 5 times!

Not a bad end to the season, beating the champions away from home. As usual, it looks like the Droopers peaked too late...

-- Anonymous, June 08, 2000

Loony,

sorry mate! Following the resignation of that waster Rude Bullet my lads have toppled the top teams. If the "randomiser" had picked matches from this era all season we'd have been up there challenging for promotion.

Still..... 6-0 eh?!!! HOWAY!!!

Incredible. First 28 games - 23 goals. Last two games - 9 goals. How they come alive once there's nowt to play for. Oh the irony, I'm holding my sides. :@)
