Uploading from IBM Microdrive to Adobe PhotoDeluxe 2.0

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

The Casio 3000ex with microdrive uploads to an IE 5.0 file. To get them into my Adobe picture editor I have to transfer one at a time with "open file." The Adobe supposedly will transfer directly from the camera, but if I try to use this function it only looks for my scanner. Any way to bypass the download to IE 5.0? I want to buy a CD-RW for photo storage, but downloading to that could take forever if I first have to go to IE, then to Adobe, then to the CD-RW. Any suggestions?

In the "preferences" section of Photoloader, turn off "auto" download. Then, go into Windows Explorer. With the QV3000 attached to the system via USB cable, there should be an additional "detachable" storage device listed. This will be the Casio QV3000. The actual jpeg files (or TIFFs if you stored using that option) will be in the appropriate directory on the camera device. You can then drag and drop entire folders (directories) or groups of photos in one operation.
