Thanks Clarky. When I was out at lunch time they had the hoardings out for that snippet, but the article must be in the late edition of the chronic - couldn't find it in the one I got. I was hoping it was shithed, but no such luck - he's gone chasing that Danish kid, but how he's going to convince him that on 10 grand a week he'll be worse off at Rangers than here is beyond me.

Easy PB, offer him #11 grand!

BTW, the story was in the "News section" of the Ronnie - at least in the online version.

As much as I want a new potentially good striker I don't want to be offering him 11 grand a week.....that's how we got into messes such as Perez, Hamilton et al...

Offer him 3k a week and tell him that after 5 appearances if he's any good it'll jump to 10k and if after one season he's made a huge impact then the sky's the limit....

He was supposed to meet up with club reps and didn't, which appears to have upset at least Bobby. The Maric approach isn't going to do him any favours if he does decide to come.

Cunning plan Baldrick Gav.
The only potential problem with it is .... he won't be here!

Has something else just broken Clarky ? The Chronic reckons he's agreed to come over and have a look at SJP etc.

Where he'll sit down with Uncle Bobby and be totally encompassed by everything around him. The only stumbling block I can see is Champions League football. I would wind him up about ambition and wanting to test yourself against decent defenders more than four times a season.

He'll be playing with better players a better coach, although Advocaat has a good reputation. Our stadium is bigger than Rangers (isn't it!?), arguably more fanatical supporters. Better weather (just) and come one it isn't that far to Perth to see his bliddy brother.

Pit Bill,
Not that I'm aware of - but Brian Laudrup has apparently recommended that he joins Rangers to be able to play regularly in the CL. If Rangers have indeed offered him substantially more lucca, then it doesn't seem to be looking too bright for us.
He must be a decent player, and it could come down to BR's enthusiasm and powers of persuasion - plus a stiffer wedge - to tie him down at this juncture.

Exactly DB, not sure about the stadiums and their supporters are different to us and a bunch of loons. It's gotta be better than freezing yer knackers off near Glasgow. He'd be about an hour and three quarters from his bro....

Which four games will he be up against good defenders ?

I think I could sell Newcastle by asking him to compare the option of playing at grounds like Old Trafford, Anfield, Highbury etc against the opporunity of visiting Paisley, Kilmarnock, Dundee (4 trips to Dundee for God's sake) and anywhere in Lanarkshire. Makes me shiver even thinking about it.

Oh aye, play regularly in the Champions's League? IE, get knocked out after your first game EVERY Year.

Macbeth,

Four games against Celtic, I thought their defence was relatively good, but then again I am comparing them to Aberdeen!
