Does anyone know of a good program that can edit or cut only the part you want in a DAT or MPG file and then make the cut or editted part into a new shorter(time) DAT or MPG file?

Does Cinax iFilmEdit V1.4 do it ? What other program can I use to cut and/or edit a DAT and MPG file ?

I've used iFilmEdit for over a year now and it just meets my needs - a simple to operate utility to edit and concatenate video files.
