HI there, I got a old Meopta Magnifax Enlarger sitting in my garage, it still works but the stupport legs are kinda rusted and well I was thinking is it work my while to get the get rechromed? It will look good but is it worth the expense? Also the carrier glass is damaged, is there any input on what type of glass can I cut to replace it? I was thinking bout having newton glass but thats kinda hard to come by here. I'm in Brisbane, Australia. Any responses will be appreciated. Thanks.

Freestyle in California carries the entire line, I believe. I think they also have a link to the manufacturer. I believe replacement glass is available from their web site. Any plating shop can likely re-chrome things. Can't say if it's worth it or not, but it will make them nice and shiny again.

You can buy Jena optical glass, as well as anti-newton ring glass, from large format specialist Stephen Shuart. He is at http://www.stephenshuart.com. His email is shuart@penn.com.
