Sackville told to boil water

A 'boil water' order has been issued for another Canadian city. This time it's Sackville, New Brunswick.

Provincial Health Department tests have shown traces of coliform bacteria in a recent drinking water sample. It's not the same contamination that hit Walkerton, Ont., but it can cause stomach cramps and other gastrointestinal disorders.

A spokesman for the department says officials are just being cautious.

The test results were available on Saturday night - but the local media wasn't informed until Sunday morning. One official said attempts had been made to inform the media, but the department wasn't able to get in touch with newsrooms, many of which aren't staffed on the weekend.
