Does somebody know where I can see more about genuine fractals ? Is it really good genuine fractals to stitch and create panoramics?

Thanks

It's a great program used mainly in the print arena, but that doesn't mean the average user can't benefit from its power. Its scaling technology is wonderfully powerful and is a blessing when you're working with natural (photographic) images. Sources have told me that MCI WorldCom at this year's NAB Convention in Las Vegas used an image that was saved in the GF format and then sent to a printer. The original image was over 90MB, and the .stn GF format reduced it to around 9MB. When the image was shipped to the printer, it was rendered into a 8'x32' print and the printer's final size was 1.1GB. That's a GREAT scale!

I tried the program out, and have serious doubt that it is of benefits to the average digital photographer. It is probably true that it is a miracle tool to turn a 90mb original image into a 20' x 30' image, but few people have that kind of need (or that kind of computer power).

I tested the program with 6-9mb original files, and it barely does better than Photoshop, and take infinitely longer.

Genuine Fractals is great for large format prining, I tried it and it worked great. Check: http://www.adobe.com/products/plugins/photoshop/fracprint.html
