A brief power failure caused hours of havoc on Oslo's public transport network Friday evening. The interruption knocked out communication and control systems leaving subway trains and trams stuck fast.
The cut happened at 6.50 p.m. and lasted just a short time, but the repercussions were felt for many hours more.
The transport company managed to get trams up and running by 9 p.m. Subway trains weren't operating again until 10.30 p.m. as the underground network was also hit by a signalling problem.
