I always thought they switched to the black border on the Broon lables when we were relegated in the early 60's, but then decided not to revert when they were promoted in '65. Jonno, where are you?

Sorry - can't help on this one. I was only interested in the labels on Tizer or Dandelion and Burdock when we were relegated in 1961. Cracking yarn though.

I do think that the S&N building needs to be demolished. As you drive in to Toon from the Redheugh Bridge, the new stadium provides a magnificent vista, broken up unfortunately by the S&N building. I think it should be knocked down and rebuilt at public expense next door to Dolly Potter's house.
