does anyone use the LCD display as viewfinder on Kodak cameras

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

I have a DC 260 that overheats when the LCD is used as the viewfinder for extended times (say 30-60 minutes). The camera is being powered from the AC adaptor. This seems like a reasonable use of the camera to me, but Kodak says the LCD should not be used for more that 10-15 minutes at a time. Has anyone else experienced this, or is it just my camera? I love the quality of the photos it takes, but I have had several severe problems with the 260. I'm on my second one, and it is now broken too. (first problem was a broken exposure sensor, then a severe case of overexposure, and now it won't focus) Joe
