First (kind of) glimpse of the home shirt without the Broon Ale logo. As modeled by Bassedas:

They also say he hung around for an hour after signing the contract to get his name put on his shirt so he could show it off back in Argentina. :-)

Ciara,
You've managed to post the image that I've just failed dismally to do on the Badedas thread. You'll have to give me a lesson.

Tis easy...instead of using <a href="http://www.somelink.com">my link</a>
use <img src="http://www.someimage.com">
The img tag does not need a closing tag.

woo...I got the symbols to print out! yay me! :-)

Also...if you want to turn the photo into a link, surround the img tag with the usual 'a href' tag stuff.

Ciara,
Thank you Ma'm - you're a real lady.
Actually, I had copied the jpg file to my hard disk and used this file ref. in the html string rather than the URL, as you indicate - presumably this was wrong also?

It'll only work if your hard drive is a server. ;-) The img tag is pointing to wherever the image is stored...it has to be accessible from the web. So for the photo above, I'm pointing towards the Chronicle's server as the source(src) for the photo.
Did I make any sense? I'm a bit loopy right now from the first bout of summer heat and struggling for the past few hours with fancy dhtml that just refuses to work. It looks so easy in the booooook(whingemoanwhimper).

Does anybody else think he's a near perfect Rob Lee lookalike ?

-- Anonymous, June 02, 2000

Pit Bill,
There is a passing resemblance - let's just hope he plays like him.

Ciara,
Thanks again for the advice, which is actually fairly obvious when I think about it. Doh!

he is a double for Rob Lee - that was my first thought too. My second was thinking that the three others look like second-hand car salesmen - esp the tub of lard sitting down on the left.

Let's see what my cyberplank quotient is:

FAirly high, obviously

Whe hay. Shame I had to get the rest of the mug shots. Doesn't look that 'lightweight' does he?

Closeups of player's faces can be incredibly deceiving. The Revs had a player last season that physically wasn't much bigger than Nobby, but his photo in the programs (head shot only) made him look like a line-backer for the Chicago Bears.

I reckon that Bassedas looks like a cross between the Big Yin and Rob Lee.......so expect him kick kick someone in the head....and then apologise profusely.

I aggree with the Big Yin coent ITK. Also looks like a few other EPL players on their books. In no particular order, Rob Lee (again), Shearer, Le Sox, Linneker, Parlour, Boznazi.

Spooky (that's not a player before you comment ITK).

In those photo's above.....Husain smiles like Daveeeeeeeeeed....Batalla has a striking likeness to YKD, Vella looks like Jamie Mitchell from Eastenders and Falcom looks like Hugh Grant in his LA Mug shots after his 'meeting' with Devine

THere are also three of them that look like Sir Les, Domi, and Tino....I wonder which?
