Need: Database(SQL) Manager for Internet start up in Mt view CA, Salary: up to 125K + pre-ipo stock

The Database manager should be familiar with all technical aspects of databases. This candidate should have participated in more than one successful Database project in a key management and technical role; have a thorough understanding of presentation tools, extract/transform tools, database engines, data design, and the technical infrastructure. Has solid overall understanding of formal project methodology. Responsibilities Include:  Management of a Data Integration team and the Database Administration Team.  Oversee the technical aspect of the Database processes  Analyze software designs from Data Integration Team and DBAs and Data Modelers  Review technical work of the team members  Review and participate in testing of data design, tool design, data extract/transform, networks, and hardware configurations  Manage production of data feeds on a 24x7 basis  Technical documentation of the environments. Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:  College Degree, Computer Science preferred.  Minimum 5 years management experience in a 24x7 environment.  5 years of SQL, Data Modeling, Process Modeling experience, Perl, C++.  Strong client service orientation.  Erwin or related modeling tool experience such as Oracle Designer.  Experience with other major DBMS (Oracle, Sybase, DB2, Informix).
