Answers

I have never missed an episode of Buffy the Vampier Slayer or Angle for that matter.

-- Anonymous, May 30, 2000

Now don`t you just feel better for having said that Jay!?(:o)

-- Anonymous, May 30, 2000

Yes I feel a weight has been lifted off me. Okay I ma on a roll, what next can I confess to?

I always tape the Grand Prix and just fast forward to the good bits. I have lost the plot of the X-Files and have given up on it all together. And finally I am a Trecker!!!

-- Anonymous, May 30, 2000

Wow - that last one was a biggie!(:o)

OK, I`m in love with Dr. Steve Peterson on Emergency Vets! I`d move to Almeda East in Colorado if I could! (:o)

-- Anonymous, May 30, 2000

I've got almost everything Chris Rea has released in the UK including La Passione video & on all media (ie tape, CD & vinyl).

-- Anonymous, May 30, 2000

I bought, liked, and still play the Don Johnson CD! (:o)

-- Anonymous, May 30, 2000

Hmm! Shocked silence eh?! Think we`d better save any more for tomorrow - and anyway, we need a few more on here before we can have a `group hug` - otherwise people would talk! Off up the little wooden hill now - speak to you tomorrow! (:o)

-- Anonymous, May 30, 2000

This should be the worst until Gav joins in.....

I was a huge fan of WetWetWets music(not so much the first 'kiddies' album)- pity Marti Pellow tried to top himself or theyd still be making great music.

This in no way reflects my personality....honest ;-)

Id also like to jump into bed with Kelly Daglish...as long as she didnt introduce me to her dad...I dont think wed get on...

Kelly makes 30 quid a month to get Sky sports digital , a snip.

-- Anonymous, May 30, 2000

I get up unfeasibly early on a Sunday to watch 'Blake's 7' and 'Earthworm Jim' - I even pretended to be watching the Adult Channel to disguise my embarrassment when I was 'busted'.

Like the Chris Rea admission Josh, I always loved that 'Joys of Christmas Northern Style' on Auberge. Do you watch the Grand Prix just to hear that little snippet the F1A play 10 mins before the start? Bet you do!

Galaxy

I share your passion for Radio 4. It's brilliant and I listen lots of the time. Superb comedy progs, many of which have been transferred in to TV progs, usually not as good as the radio originals. Responsible for the brilliant I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue, The Hitch-hikers Guide to the Galaxy, (I don't recall you in that Gal), Goodness Gracious Me, After Henry, Radio-active, Whose Line is it Anyway and so many other masterpieces.

Even The Archers has a place in my heart mainly because it's almost exactly the same age as I am. I think Walter Gabriel is still sorely missed ... (-;

-- Anonymous, May 30, 2000

Jonno - I've got some "I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again" on tape - you've sorted my car listening for the next couple of days - if Ciara asks I might even send her a copy for her journey.

Softie - I don't watch G Prix much but I will next time. The man is an incredibly superb guitarist and awesome Live. Next tour is October. Good luck with Nic and the Little one to be.

If it's confession time......I bought 'Howway the Lads' by (I think) the Barry Brothers prior to the 1974 cup final........how sad is that!

I've even still got it (sulk away, tail between legs and sit in the corner for the rest of the day!)

-- Anonymous, May 30, 2000

ITK,

I've still got my copy!

Xo)

-- Anonymous, May 30, 2000

ITK. Pilgrim...

Me, too !! "W'aye, man...we'll plaaaaay them off the park !!"

-- Anonymous, May 30, 2000

What's that show, Josh? Is it like I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue(which I've also not yet heard)? I'm certainly interested to hear it. :-)

Confessions...hmmmm....my current addiction is a show on some dinky local channel in the afternoons called "Blind Date". They set people up on dates and film them. There's a GOOD reason most of these people can't find dates, lemme tell ya!! Haven't quite decided if this is scaring me off of ever dating again, or making me feel really great about myself cause I'm nowhere near as sad as most of those people! ;-)

-- Anonymous, May 30, 2000

I still refuse to eat them if the baked beans have touched my eggs. But that's quite normal isn't it .....

-- Anonymous, May 30, 2000

I know other people do this now because I heard it on the radio just the other day. Empty a tube of smarties into a bag of crisps, (prawn cocktail flavour), eat the crisps first then the smarties.

Spud - it`s 6.30 am, I`ve just got up on switched on the `puter. Sat down with my first cup of coffee of the day, and nearly choked on it when I saw your posting! 6.35 am now - I`ve been back upstairs to get my glasses and re-read your posting! It`s not quite so shocking now, but what the hell, I`m still chuckling from my first incorrect reading! Blimey, that would really have been a serious revalation! (:o)

Jonno! You like it too! As a lady of leisure (in my dreams!) I have it on most of the day, from the early morning news to the comedy programmes in the evening. If it wasn`t for live football on the television, and the fact that my hubbies a telly addict, I`d probably listen to it in the evening too. Archers? Love it - something very comforting about it`s continuity - mind you, Clarie`s having a bit of a hard time at the moment, isn`t she? Also love the debates - the Moral Maze was fun with slapable Mr. Starky! Any Questions and Any Answers can be a hoot too.

What I hate about Radio 4 is any sort of change! Makes me very grumpy when they mess about with the schedule! (:o)

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

Garcie ... crumbled up pieces of juicy fruit in a bag of 'scrunched' up prawn cocktail , shaken then eaten .. clas man : - )

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

Oh mum!! you were so innocent for so long but now the mask has slipped (not snipped!)....what are we going to do with you :))

Jay's lying anyway...she's a fake!!! no self respecting Star Trek fan would call themselves a "Trecker"!!! we're Trekkie's!

I guess my most shocking admission is that I'm addicted to you lot!! oh and I've recently started watching HollyOaks!! ;)))

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

Mornin` Gav! I know, I`ve blown my image as super-hip-chick-type- Mum, but it`s been such a `cleansing` moment! As for you - I have no problem with you fancying Edgar Davids - but Hollyoaks! Get yourself into therapy quick!(:o)

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

Mum,

A cleansing experience eh? bit like an enema?.....

I hope you made Yelli do her lines last night "I must not mistake Andy Cole for Sol Campbell" :))

If she's that blind she must have terrible taste in men!!!

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

Yep that Cole/Campbell thing really wrankled yesterday! As for her taste in men?????!!!!!........well..........byeeeeeee!!!!!! (:o)

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

I could confess to being that blerk who got the Cole tattoo done before he got sold to the Scum...but it'd be a lie.

However, music seems a popular confession so: first album I bought was Haircut 100 - Pelican West, and I still rate is as a quality record.

On the other hand I was well ahead of my time and my 1st single was "Doug E Fresh & The Get Fresh Crew - The Show" on 12" USA import. It still kicks it (1985, and I was 11!), but counter this with knowing all the rap lyrics and rapping it a la Doug E Fresh with me mate Rik (no, a different one).

"N-n-n-n-n no we didn't..."

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

I don't know where I've gotten this HollyOaks virus from....I think I'll be ok from it though....as long as I stay in Switzerland then I can't see it :)) it'll be cold turkey for a little while but I'll get through it....

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

Wise move Gav - you`ll be safe there! Only very sad people watch Hollyoaks! (:o)

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

Errr Hollyoaks?!? Gave you have gone down in my estimation!!!

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

Gone down in your estimation eh!! wow you mean I actually had some standing :))

Don't worry I'm gonna fight this thing and I will pull through!! thanks for all the get well soon cards and flowers though....they are much appreciated!!

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

Jonno,
Agree about 'I'm sorry ...' , heard it Saturday and it's brilliant. What are the rules for Mornington Crescent ? If it isn't simply a circular from/to, naming the Underground stations on the way, I'm completely baffled.

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

I don't watch any soap, but Dream Team, mind that is one of the saddest, but I get to see some footie too!!

Gav, I think very highly of you!!

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

Jay,

And your punchline is?..........

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

Aww no punchline Gav would I do that to you?

My final confession is I have both Robson and Jorome CD's and like them both.

That's my pink mack hanging on the door

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

Oh and there was I thinking that I was gonna have a nice little scrap with someone this afternoon.....such a let down :((

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

The first record i bought independently was Orville - I wish i could fly , followed by def Leppard ' pour some sugar on me ' .. i was a confused child !

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

First two records I remember owning (given to me to go with my record player xmas present) were Nelly the Elephant and then Teddy Bear (Elvis)...

God I'm old!!

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

Gav see Softie's thread for start of fight. I am off to lunch but will come back even more armed and dangerous ;o)

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

The first album bought for me was 'Jackonory' which featured stories as well as songs so that was a bargain!

First album I actually went out and bought was Roxy Music's 'Avalon' which I love to this day even thoufg Bryan Ferry is a smoggie tw*t:-)

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

Errr since when has Bryan Ferry been a smoggie?

Bill...isn't he from the Square?

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

Oh dear, it's worse than I thought, he's a mac...

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

Here fishy, fishy, fishy. Obviously need more groundbait [loads catapult and flings a good dollop near some likely looking reeds]

Being from your neck of the woods would explain why nobody understands a word of what he's singing about and also why he never seemed to end up with the girl [readies a hefty marlin-spike, this could be a big one] ;-)

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

At least he shagged Jerry Hall before Mick Jagger!!

Come on Bill man...I'm not certain of my information at all here and I need your help!!

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

Isnt he a good mate of Reeves and Mortimer .. defo a smoggie and probably a makkum too if hes from weshington , dear dear and according to me fatha that was the first music i reacted ... shhiiiiiiitttte ! me mams had a greater effect on me than i thot , quick hoy that bliddy red and white strip oot .

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

hehe Galaxy hope u didnt think it said id jump into bed with Kenny ;-)

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

I'm not playing if you two are gonna pick on me....

Sting....I'm beginning to wonder whether a new name might not be more appropriate for ya...."The Ginger George Michael"....cos of your penchant for public toilets like....

As for you Softie....you want to watch your step bonnie lad!! It won't take much more pushing before I offer to take you on in another wretling match!!

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

Ive got a howld of it , you reel him in .

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

Wohoooo Gav's having a strop. Carry on the good work folks !! ;o)

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

Haha....no Jay a strop is much different...I'm actually having some fun here now piss off back into the kitchen! and bake me an apple pie!

Sting, Just remember mate.....I saved you from a fate worse than death the other night....you owe me ;)

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

You should work for the RNLI Gav .. either that or WWF , save the elephants perhaps ? ; - )

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

Piss off back to the kitchen! Oh if I ever meet you mark my words you will be sorry. The only time I go into the kicthen is to set the table after you have burnt errr made the dinner.

And I was being nice to you too!

And that was a strop.

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000
