When you lot must be going home from work....

Can't you arrange a rota and stagger it so that there's always someone here for me?!?!

Please.....

I'll just sit in the corner over there and hum to myself until someone comes along to talk to me....

Syme,

I'm working in Switzerland...for some bizarre reason I don't keep normal office hours.....oh yes it's cos I'm hourly paid :))

Lonely...a little... Sad....Always... ;)

I watched most of the England match on Saturday and thought Shearer played fairly well....I thought England were generally very crap but yet again the media thought otherwise....Brazil weren't up to much either...

I might head off to the graveyard and see what I can dig up...

If you get a chance go and see Gladiator. I saw it this weekend, reminded me of the old leazes end. Marvellous. I saw a picture in National Geographic yesterday of a bunch of Elvises dressed in toon garb for the cup final against Manure. How bloody cultural is that then? Imagaine the toon making it to National Geographic, any other PL team make it? Thought not.

I went to see Gladiator on thursday...wasn't that impressed with it! lots of people said it was a lot like Braveheart but personally I don't think it was a patch on Braveheart...

Definitely not enough blood and guts in it and nowhere near as good as Spartacus :)

I know Galaxy has been itching to talk about the film since she saw it a little while ago :))

I bet you enjoyed Gav, I thought it was quite good, I can't stand Brave Heat or what ever. Stupid Jocks. Now Rerman's, big wall to keep tha bugga's oot.....that's more like it.

Aye if yer want to someone's heed get stoved in with a mace the size of football, it's the film for you. Charlton who I hear you cry? Jackie & Bobby that's who, not some crazed gun nut.

Aw shucks Gav! I`m really disappointed you didn`t enjoy Gladiator. I really, really loved it! I agree there wasn`t much blood and gore, and the dialogue was surplus to requirements (apart from Russell Crowe`s voice - which is scrummy!) but it was sssssooooooooo beautifully filmed! Exquisitely framed landscapes - definate Ridley Scott signature - very clever camera shots. Did you not even think that Oliver Reed and Joaquim Phoenix were any good?

Maybe it was more one for the ladies then - Mr. Crowe was a definate revalation to me! (`scuse me while I wipe my chin!) Oh well, each to their own I suppose. (:o)

It was....OK....I'd give it a 5 out of 10 and would probably watch it again on video but no more than that....

I didn't think much of the female lead in it either....she's the bird out of Devil's Advocate that's trying to tempt Keanue Reeves isn't she?

Definitely not enough blood and guts....

I thought Gladiator was fantastic ;-) Great film for the big screen.

Anyone seen Arlington Road?? Wat an ending!

Gav,
Saw it as well at the weekend. I enjoyed it, although the end made the tears run down me leg.

Why don't you chat up a propellor-heed to come up with a system where we can post date postings so they all arrive just when you're feeling neglected ?

Or what about yodelling lessons ? -)

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

I've got the Lederhosen and have been trying to arrange yodelling lessons with Heidi however Johann the bloody goatherd keeps getting jealous and not allowing her out of the house!! her grandfather is even worse!!

So i'm basically left relying on you lot....

Gav,
I think it's the way you pronounce 'Yodeleddydee' - he thinks you're saying 'Youroldladytoo'. (Don't relax, there's worse where that came from). -)

It's 5.50pm where I'm sat (sunny Slough TM) is this the time that everyone goes home? And there was me looking for advice on how to lay the last of the floor panels in my spare room ( i know someone was doing this the other bank holiday and wanted to know how much swearing would be involved).

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

6.50pm here in not quite so sunny switzerland and I'm bored...

Jay's the one that's always laying things on the floor I think....ask her for advice mate ;)

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

Gav - who are you planning on flying to DC with (airline not persons? I've been looking into flights and they're reet expensive - I hope to hell I can get the company to organise a training course for wor that week....it's looking like #400. Unless we get about 200 people together and charter a plane from easyjet (7hrs without food though and BYO booze).

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

Unfortunately i'm out of practise....it's been way too long :(( I never was very good with doormats anyway....

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

Scratchy,

Sting and I haven't looked into flights for that weekend at all yet....who've you found that 400 quid flight with?

Does it look like your definitely going over? it'd be fun to have you along with us man.....

-- Anonymous, May 31, 2000

Checked flights out on Virgin, BA, United (that's the airline before the court comes running) and American. I'm keeping an eye out on Lastminute.com - they've offering flights to DC for #308 throughout June (no word on July yet).
Worst thing is, so far it looks like half the office are going to be over there on training courses bar mine :o( Although it'd cut down on the accommodation costs....
I should get there though.
