what the hell has happened to the official sh*te?

Just thought I have a quick Squiz at the official Nufc.co.uk and boy has it gone down hill. Had a look at the merchandise, and it's a joke. The News stories are 5 days old and they don't even have the ability to take advanced orders for the new away kit. Has anybody got any inside on this? Are they gonna revamp it or something?

WHAT'S GANNIN' MAN?

Who knows.....reading your posting made me think about how many times I've actually used that site.....I'd be very suprised if I go there more than once a month....IF THAT!!

Dunno about the site as a whole, but they are supposedly revamping the merchandising aspect. Haven't heard any details as to what that means. Coming up with something more reasonable than 30 pounds for overseas shipment would be a start! :-/

#30!!!? I was hoping to use when i'm abroad next year For *^%$*% $*####'s sake, that's a disgrace.

A couple of years ago, I was daft enough to buy a couple of boxes of Christmas cards from the On Line Shop. The cards themselves cost about #8.50 or something for 20 but it turned out that the postage and packing was #4.50.....that's not #4,50 per order mind you, its #4.50 per ITEM......2 boxes of cards, #17.00, P&P #9.00.....total #26 for 40 Christmas Cards.....NEVER AGAIN.....

I now get a catalogue from them so I decide what I want and I phone wor kid in Lemington and get him to get it for me from the shop either in the ground, Eldon Sqwuare or the Metro Centre, and send it at a fraction of the cost.

I'd love to know they're figures for overseas sales. I'd bet they aren't nearly as high as they could be. They also do a very poor job of packing. I'd ordered something and had it shipped to Dougal's place when I was over awhile back and the item had been taken out of the packaging used in the stores so it could be crammed into a tiny mailing envelope. :-/

Either buy out the shop before you leave, or have someone back home buy stuff and ship it to you.

I did use their message board for a while. But I to will admit that I don't look at it. I get most of my info of here the Strawberry and nufc.com.

I only used the official site to set up my webcast in April.

My guess is that it'll be getting taken over by ntl and that planet who look after it now have got the hump. Cue NUFC related PR/marketing farce.

I occasionally buy stuff on line, and get it sent to my parents address who then redirect it, it usually takes a couple of weeks longer but beggars can't be choosers.

By the way I hope no one from the post office is reading this.

they may be way behind in relaying the real news but they are very quick nowadays to promote the caring image of the club, which I am not criticising them for ;-) At least we're making the news for the right reasons, do you think we have secretly employer Max Clifford to do our PR and not just the new supporters chap.

TEN youngsters aged between 10-14 years of age from Chernobyl, accompanied by ten children from the Denton Youth Forum, will be special guests at St James Park on Wednesday, May 31.

The children will enjoy a buffet lunch in the up-market Magpie Room restaurant and be given a tour of the ground before each leaves with a bag of 'goodies'. The tour will be slightly limited due to the massive re-constructions currently underway at St James.

The ten Chernobyl children - brought to this country as part of a larger group - are spending a month in the North-East. For the three days they are in Newcastle, they will be guests of the Denton Youth Forum.

Hmmm. Surely we should have invited some children up from Teesside as well...

Hey Softie....it was suggested old son, but then they realised that like magnets, they would repel away from each other, so the exercise wouldn't be that conducive to good 'nuclear' relations
