I'm wondering if a PAL and NTSC version of a given short video can be used on a VCD 2.0 and still retain white-book spec. Access via simple menu, thereby enabling play-back on both PAL and NTSC DVD decks...?

Answers

The two different formats can be mixed, however I have had trouble with menus in different TV systems on a multisystem TV as there is no command associated with the menu that tells the system to switch for a change in TV format. I had to author the menu in the default TV system to not have a problem. However, on the fly conversions by the DVD player from one system to the other worked fine.
