MICE OVERRUN PARIS SHOPS; CHECK OUT www.discovery.com/news/earthalert/0005zz/ratsparis.html

Noticed an increase in the ferocity and frequency of animal attacks lately? Then you haven't been paying attention. This week, a quiet unthreatening eldery woman attacked by fire-ants in her nursing home bed, bitten 1200x, and killed? A black bear attacked and killed a hiker in ... was it Glacier Nat'l Park? Rnager says it was a first. A tiger at a wildlife safari rips of a volunteers arm .... And the latest from Paroise, where the finest delis and patisseries are being overrun by a mini-plague of mice ..... Hope the address is right.

Hey, Squirrel Hunter,

Why are the animals restless?

Is it possible that the fury of the chipmonks battling for the last of my cheese and crackers has something to do with it? Is the New Madrid Fault finally going to cut loose?

Exactly how long did you think it would take for the animals to start fighting back? Afterall, man does have it coming.

Remember "Planet of the Apes"?

Western Oregon: the coyotes this spring are more daring all over the Willamette and Tualatin Valleys: approaching homes, menacing livestock; and in Eastern Oregon, even showing menace to mounted cowboys. FWIW.

I've had a mini-plague of rats for the last 4 years. Rat poison and traps seem to reduce their numbers temporarily, but they always come back the next year.

I just got bitten by a spider. Does that count?
