Save your typewriters, they will be needed for the coming Y10K computer glitch. :-'

About three years ago the market for electric and
electronic typewriters flattened after years of
shrinking sales. U.S. sales are now about $100 million,
according to Smith Corona spokeswoman Rivian Bell.

. . .

This week, the 115-year-old company filed its second
bankruptcy in five years. This time, though, appears
to be the last time. Smith Corona said if the U.S.
Bankruptcy Court in Delaware approves the plan, all
the company's assets will be sold at auction in July.

. . .

With Smith Corona's imminent demise, the typewriter
