Well seeing as how you've asked pete - I was going to avoid raising what has previously proven to be a highly controversial subject on here.
They reckon Rob Lee is set to sign a new deal which will offer him a job for life at The Toon. Nothing controversial there.
However, they go to say that Lee's new incentive is that Alan Shearer wants him on his coaching staff when he eventually takes over as United Manager from BR.
"United are so appreciative of RL's contribution to their revival under BR that they are ready to offer him terms which will take him past his 37th birthday...and that Shearer has already sounded his close friend out about linking up together in management.......Shearer's eventual succession is deemd inevitable by the Newcastle Board and an integral part of the Club's long-term strategy."
Looks like AS as the next Manager, with RL as his Assistant.
(Stands back and waits for the deluge)

No doubt as anchored in reality and hard facts as all their other stories? ;-)

Enjoying the pre-season chance to relax and simply can't raise the necessary 'outrage' to get into an unseemly debate on the bbs. Sorry, please call again in July :-)

Seems like nobody picked up on Recoba asked for a transfer from Inter - robson has been linked before - is he the missing quality striker.

Pure speculation but better than Jason Euell.

How do we know that the United in question aren't manure ? -)

Completely missed the Recoba transfer request. One of the best dead- ball specialists around and can create and score them himself with the panache of Beardsley - we'd never be able to afford him, 10mil minimum.
